The Sheffield Gay Scene

Carborundum

Recommended Posts

OMG! I had just been researching what's happening on the 'scene' in a town where I used to live in Kent many moons ago, when I came across the following link: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/14/1433/Affinity/Bexleyheath

and: http://www.ukpubfinder.com/pub/26248

and: http://www.dontstayin.com/uk/london/affinity-bar

Don't think it is any relation to the one in Sheffield, and certainly don't think it's Gay, unfortunately...

BEXLEYHEATH!!! I used to live there when I was about 6......

SO is it true the rumour about the council buying that square opposite the closed Matilda pub abd turning it into a gay village??

Wasn't this the subject of a thread last year.....some developer wanted to create a gay village and his friend (the OP) was wanting to turn the square into a pink park - I think he mentioned Strawberry Fields as a name for it.

And from what I remember of the answers, and the contributions I made to the thread, it didn't go down too well.

Perhaps the council will come up with something better that what was proposed then. :)

i'm sorry but why do you need a "gay cafe" What's wrong with Starbucks etc? Also why a "gay bookshop" is Waterstones and the like not good enough for the gays?

you want integration and yet you want to segregate yourself from the rest of the world by only going to a gay bar, gay bookshop. gay cafe and gay clubs!

I'm sorry but people like you infuriate me
