Not had anything to do with the place since it opened, didn't really like it, its just a bit too big to get the atmosphere you get else where, however i was only there during the day so... I like to think I'm fairly straight-acting ;-) But some of the very straight pubs especially the football supporter type ones can feel very intimidating and threatening at times .. as you know I'm not exactly a tall 6 foot 6 muscle bound hunk that can defend myself well - so I think its still a good idea to have predominantly gay bars to be in a safe relaxed non-threatening atmosphere ...
