367squadron Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 I know I was thinking the same.....a shambolic list of performers....why couldn't we upstage everyone and get Kylie or Girls Aloud ???? If you think you can raise the kind of money to get Girls Aloud and Kylie to Sheffield Pride, why don't you do some fundraising yourself? Don't forget the event is FREE. It would be a different story if we were to rip off the LGBT people of Sheffield and charge them over £15 for entry to the event. If people supported it more, rather than slagging off people who are actually trying to do something about raising awareness, it'd be a better event for all. I think I am comparing it to Manchester, Cardiff and London- the three I have been to; these are massive events with loads of good music. This year it is in a better park and I think more people will be going. There DEFINITELY needs to be some form of big club night organised afterwards though! I'll be there working this year, The pride committee are doing an excellent job and the event is shaping up to be brilliant. so far. Exactly, the committee are doing what they can and have got some fantastic support of some of the local businesses in the area but as the more support they can get the better.
