oldrowley Posted February 12, 2012 Share Posted February 12, 2012 It is possible I suppose that when they were digging out the exit from t'ole to the side where the Marple stands that they could have come across cellars radiating from the old Marples that was bombed out in the last war. It would explain why so much unused booze was discovered. Other than that, I don't know of another old ale house in the immediate area unless there was one at the corner of Change Alley many years ago.
