Edith bn c1876 James bn c1878 Thurza (Theresa in 1901) bn c1885/6 Florence bn c1893 Living at Cornish St in 1881, Hodgson St in 1891 This may be James in 1901: 1901 census (index only) (grouped by page ref) James HODKIN 23 Comb Presser Hair (born) Yorks Attercliffe Emily HODKIN 22 Yorks Attercliffe Arthur HODKIN 2 Yorks Attercliffe There's a marriage for a Theresa in 1911: GRO Marriages Dec Qtr 1911 HODKIN THERESA Ecclesall B 9c 835 ROBINSON Arthur G Ecclesall B. 9c 835 TOULSON Thomas A Ecclesall B. 9c 835 Can't say which one she married. Hugh sorry for the delay i been in & out of hosp... anyhow yes hugh these are my grandads sibs, but i did not know that thurza & florence were the one person?? as I thought it was thurza 1885 & theresa 1886?? I have now found that alonzo's parents were james hodkin 1836 & sarah gregory 1848, but it may also be that james married someone called ann b4 1863 no other info. HughW Posted January 29, 2006 Share Posted January 29, 2006 hello Shawn The reason I thought that Thurza and Theresa (not Florence!) were the same person was that I couldn't find any trace of Thurza apart from the 1891 census.
