My mum got taken out for lunch to the Cottage, and said the the food was really nice,& the decor was done really well.

The food is always sound in there. Nothing fancy, just good honest home cooked food. Really friendly owners and staff as well, this despite the landlord being a blade!

We went in a couple of weeks ago at 6:45 and had the (above average) vegetarian quiche and chips. Place was fairly busy and had a 20 minute wait for the food which is fine.

I asked about food times and landlord said they were taking orders up to about 7:30.

The refurb has been well done and it has a cosy atmosphere. We were impressed - it's a really good to see a walkley pub improving, especially when the rest are just getting worse.

Went last night & it was full of screaming kids running amok all over the place. Food was ok but rather bland, and landlady really moody. Wouldn't recommend to go if you want a quiet peaceful meal

We Were In Too Last Night (Just Before 9) No Screaming Kids-Must've Just Missed 'Em :hihi:. Had A Really Nice Few Pints, In What Is A Nice Pub With A Great "Traditional" Pub Atmosphere. No Doubt It Will Be Added To Our List Of "Saturday Night Pubs".
