Andy
A serious question - around where my mum and dad live (Aston) and around that side of Rotherham, there are loads of road signs pointing to Clowne. Why? It doesn't seem a significant destination to the extent that it needs road signs, so are all the signs there because someone in Rotherham Council thinks it's funny? I knew the Clown post master's son. When there were special stamps showing famous clowns, they did the postmarking for the first day covers in their post office. Mr Prime
Who'd live there? People who couldn't resist buying a detached 4 bed cheaply in the middle of nowhere under the impression they were on to a winner. And then finding they were in the middle of The Hills Have Eyes. Signs have a purpose other than leading you to a destination..they can also inform you where and what to avoid..."don't feed the chimps" and all that stuff. The A 618 runs pretty much directly from Roth' to Clowne, Andy...?

And then came the footballers and their WAGS.
