Ousetunes
The pub or the ship? It opened as the Shiny Sheff in the mid-to-late 1960s. A couple of years ago, the then tenant (whose name I shall keep to myself) decided to change the name to The Sheffield. He believed it sounded more upmarket and he was, in effect, trying to change the community boozer to a wine bar. Then the last tenants who left around May of this year managed to get the name altered to what it has always been anyway to its regulars: The Shiny Sheff. If you're on about the ship(s), I'd suggest a google or wikipedia because it's in depth stuff, geddit?
