gamezone07
People react differently to the flu jab and yes there can be some who mimic the effects of flu, after all the jab is cultured on flu virus. Indeed, some people like those with M.E are reluctant to have it, though in the end it is apersonal decision , in some cases it will save your life., It may though be a coincindence as there is already a very nasty bug going around, (see thread) worth having a look at this... http://www.immunisation.nhs.uk/Vaccines/Flu
shoeshine
I've had the "Full Monty" Flu jab for the last 3-4 years ..... with no side effects. I have never suffered a "cold" either, I'm pleased to say. ps It hasn't improved my "limp" ....... but you can't have everything in life!
Heyesey
You can't get 'flu from the jab, because it contains no living viruses. A cold-like reaction is not that uncommon, though I'm not entirely sure what - beyond psychosomatic symptoms - can cause it.

That's the phrase I wanted. People expecting to get flu symptoms because they've had the jab, and thereby actually getting them. Not that I'm saying that is always - or even very often - the cause. I just wonder if it might be.

Jabberwocky
I only had the jab once back in 2003 and I was as sick as a parrot for three weeks with severe flu like symptoms. I even passed it to everyone at work, they were ever so pleased with me!
