ttourtell Posted November 5, 2008 Share Posted November 5, 2008 Hi Poppins: You are right - the school I remember was a big old house and if you go to the thread "Schools in Walkley and Crookes" and scroll down, there is a link there to an old photo of the kids (of which I was one and in the photo) in the grounds. The Broomhill Infant School that is being used today is not the one I remember unless it has been completely modernised. Hope this is useful to you. I'll take alook, I thought the school and the grounds were a bit scary myself, I use to play in the classrooms when every one had gone and my Auntie Lily was scrubbing those stairs, I even thought the teachers kitchen was strange, but the whole place was empty so thats probable why It seemed eerie.
