denlin
It's still there and the only people ruining what is a protected area is Sheffield City Council, they've filled all the victorian culverts in and now have no idea now to get rid of the surface water so are working in the woods
pigiron
Pleasant memories of carpets of bluebells. As ex S11 my playground was Ecclesall woods which I believe is still renowned for its annual display. Conservation seems to have been alive and well when I was a nipper as I was strictly informed when picking not to pull the base of the stalk out of the bulb (corm) otherwise the plant would die. That's sixty years ago.
