cheeseman
what's your favourite pub or bar in Sheffield? And why....
slh73
Sheaf View, Heeley. No nonsense pub, no fruitmachines, no music, no food. Just quality beer served by people who know how to look after it.
EdnaKrabappe
The Old House. I like the comfy sofas, the fact two of my mates DJ there regularly and they do stonking cocktails but don't mind when i'm driving if i have a soda and lime. No attitude place. A couple of years ago I'd have said the Green Room but the gorgeous barman doesn't work there anymore. No all the staff there used to be friendly. It seems to have completely changed in the past 18 months and I've only really enjoyed one Saturday night in there since.
Matt S
Bowery or Dulo... Hmmm... or The Hallamshire for lunch/pizzas... But then of course there's the Lescar and the Porter Cottage... And the Bannercross... Erm, pass...
Show
The Devonshire Cat. Quality beer, quality food. Love the place. Also rather fond of the Kelham Island Tavern, but I'm on the wrong side of town this year so not been for a while

brianthedog
The Fat Cat. Great beer (obviously), great food (steak and ale pie - fantastic), completely indifferent staff and a lovely beer courtyard. And a blazing fire on a cold night. Second favourite would be the Sheaf View for the reasons slh73 states - especially the no fruit machine bit! Favourite bar is the Wig and Pen by a mile. npatchett
Kelham Island Tavern or Fat Cat would get my vote. The Riverside gets an honourable mention for stocking a White Rose Brewery beer at all times!
