Tigerfan
Cannot Agree with the commercial "Chapeltown Beer is not particularly well kept and not exactly the best welcome in world either. The Kelham Island Tavern is always warm and welcoming and never a bad drink. Called in the Shakespeare recently (first time for a while) my god what a good pub spoiled. The Springfield Tavern was a cracking little pub good beer and atmosphere (not as good now with new landlord) does anyone know what happened to the old ones Graham amd Claire? Most improved pub for me must be the Old Crown on Penistone Road new landlord over last 12-15 months really transformed pub better environment a decent pint and far better bar staff than ;previous it deserves a visit ! lizmachin
The Old House. I like the comfy sofas, the fact two of my mates DJ there regularly and they do stonking cocktails but don't mind when i'm driving if i have a soda and lime. No attitude place. A couple of years ago I'd have said the Green Room but the gorgeous barman doesn't work there anymore. No all the staff there used to be friendly. It seems to have completely changed in the past 18 months and I've only really enjoyed one Saturday night in there since. Where is the Old House. I've missed that one. npatchett
Cannot Agree with the commercial "Chapeltown Beer is not particularly well kept and not exactly the best welcome in world either. What makes you say that? What day did you go and at what time? I will find out who was working and get their attitude re-adjusted. As for the beer not being well kept, load of rubbish!
