Xpoolboy
It has to be the Blue Room, food is excellent and the service is even better

shefpoolie
La Tasca on Eccy Rd. Excellent food, friendly service, reasonable price. And you get to try several different dishes, which solves the usual problem of trying to decide what to have.

pippadoll
Wig and Pen is great Catch is very good for fish and the bouillabaisse was amazing in Artisan. Marco@Milano was very good for Italian Indian Chef/Jeera both unbeatable for Indian food No decent Chinese/vietnamese/thai (farewell bahn nah) Really enjoyed Rafters Thyme cafe is good, it always has a good range and is certainly not over priced. Remo does amazing coffee and great ciabatta there are a few places I would like to try, which have a good reputation, such as the restaurant in Wortley (now that might be Barnsley) and Chez lahlou in Commonside. For a chain restaurant Strada isn't too bad, the pizza is okay. Balti King - lol, the most digusting food ever eaten, you must be totally hammered to think that what they serve is anything near edible.

Guest
Olive Bar on Div. Street, really lovely food, good atmosphere, prices cheaper than other tapas restaurants in sheffield. oddly, while we have a small handful of overpriced and overhyped restaurants (most mentioned in this thread) you can always get good food at places such as Olive, Dev Cat, Bungalows and Bears and the Old House without the pretentious overload or bankruptcy
cheekychimp
La Scala at Millhouses is fab, and they do the best, most tender steak. Shame that Marco's nearby gets more press - La Scala is little, cosy, family owned and they come to your table and get all excited about the fish they've got that day! I second that, La Scala is lovely, also the Dilshad in Woodseats and Everest on Chesterfield Road, both fantastic.
shazzamattazza
Balti King In Broomhill is fantastic. You obviously didn't hear about them getting fined for having dirty kitchens. Personally I like my curry without mice droppings in them. Not a restaurant but I second Coach and Horses, Dronfield by far the best food around.
