2437_SNT Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 If you rememer Phoenix Rising, the prog heavy rock/blues band hailing from Sheffield in the 80's and 90's, then you will be pleased to know they have reformed under the name ChinWig. The band comprises of the original members of Phoenix Rising; Pete Bangert- lead/rythm guitar and Gordi Henderson- drums plus new members Mick Shedd-vocals, Krys Bangert Lead/Rythm guitar and (me) Aidan Hall on bass. The band is managed under Rising Records and will be performing in Sheffield very soon. The material is mainly original Phoenix Rising numbers such as The Minstrel, So Easy, The Jester and Lonely Attack, some of the covers played are Dixie Dregs- Take it off the top, Joe Satriani- War, MSG - Into the Arena and Wishbone Ash - Blind Eye.
