ellis
Just wanting to have a moan about royal mail. As a busy working family with 5 children, we tend to do a lot of internet shopping. But from time to time a parcel arrives whilst we are out. A card is pushed through our door to go to the office to collect it, But is never seen again. Apparently the parcel stays with the postman until he takes it to the depot. But does he? We are meant to be able to rely on the royal mail. Time they had some competition i think
NorfolkParka
How long do you leave it from the card coming throuhg the door to you going to the depot? Every card I have had tells me to wait X hours.
the1
They do have competition (TNT, DHL etc...), but what people don't know is that it still goes through Royal Mail's network & is called DSA (Down Stream Access)... Royal Mail charge 13.5p per letter...

GetItDone
Stop knocking the Royal Mail, you'd miss it if it wasn't there.
Ghostrider
Heres a possibility : http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=561780 After my first post on that thread, I was contacted by someone from the star - they contacted Royal Mail who confirmed what I had said.... LJB23
Instead of collecting, I always organise a re-delivery on the internet or have it delivered to my local post office for a small change, about 50p. Never had a problem.

Having worked in Royal Mail for a many years I find this hard to believe, as your post on the other thread was only yesterday. The press office in Leeds normaly take a long time to get back to anyone in the media and then they never say anything detrimental regarding Royal Mail even if it was true, which I very much doubt. Sounds more like The Star jumping on the "Get at Royal Mail bandwagon".
