Alastair
You don't get good food for £3.50, you get the lowest quality crap available.
EmeraldEye
The whole family went to the Peacock at owler bar yesterday afternoon, its a regular haunt and we enjoy the great food and real ale. Anyway they had an electrical fault and no hot food was being served, hese things happen. We went over the road to the Moorlands and had the pile it high carvery, I take everyone's point about getting what you pay for but this provided a cheap meal out for a significant number of us. The veg was overcooked but the beef was quite good as well as the new potatoes, all in all great value though I have to admit I will continue to eat mostly at the Peacock.
