Why not just say you part own or work for these two establishments, as they both come under the same umbrella and you want to know what people think? my eyes only Posted November 25, 2008 Author Share Posted November 25, 2008 For your information i dont work for either of the 2 places, i wanted to know peoples impression of the places, because i don't know if it is just me, but i think Abuelo is a great place to go, but Menzels seems to have lost its atmosphere over the last couple of months, only my opinion, just wondering what other people thought, i dont care if people slate either places really.............. medicgirl Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I have to admit I've never been to Abuelo's (just never got round to it, nothing against the place) but I do like Menzels, most definitely my favourite bar on Eccy Rd and love the cocktails, especially the peach mojitos. However, I was under the impression (and I may well be wrong) that they catered for totally different markets - Menzels a bar, Abuelo's more of a cafe-type place? Is this not the case?
