Waller rd off Rivelin Rd has handrails and is probably just as steep as Blake St. Bottom of Langsett Ave is, in my opinion, steeper.

I voted for Hagg Hill I go up and down it everyday to work and it is quite nasty. Take it in 3rd at a consistent speed but sometimes have to revert back to 1st if someone in front is particularly struggling.

Is this road totally perilous in winter? A friend suggested that it might get closed in particularly icy/cold conditions, just wondered if there was any truth in that

You wouldn't like to try driving up Lodge Lane would you and let us know how it compares with Hagg Hill?

Be careful near the top there is a nasty double bend.

It isn't far from Hagg Hill. It goes from just before Rivelin Post Office to Lodge Moor.

Cheers,

Graham.

P.S. When I come to think of it, I don't think I have seen Roper Hill mentioned in the poll either. Thats not far from Lodge Lane.
