tuggles
I know Sheffield roads consist of many hills but what is the steepest? Does anyone know for certain. Lodge Lane

It wasn't so much the steepness but the U bend half way up. It was quite a climb, and on the bends must have been 1 in 4.

m^rk
What about Bishops Court Road in Meersbrook? I used to walk it every morning going to Newfield and it was plenty steep enough... I am sure that is the steepest it's like going up the pepsi max at blackpool:hihi:
supersonic
Okay dokely, Bishopscourt Rd: Total length is 304m, elevation gain 36m = 11.8%. Seems pretty unifrom all along it! Bates St: 16m in 226m = 7%. Though is a 14m gain in just 146m, so just under 10% in places. Leighton Rd has a 14% stretch. Hagg Hill still out in the front ;-)
anidazen
Surely Hagg Hill? The only one that comes to mind.
