I am looking for high quality music, please leave the cheese out! I require 2 things. A link to a demo mix - at least 30 mins please!! And a biography or CV with your past experience. eric_the_man Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Its not a question of 'Do we really have so few DJ's in Sheffield?', most proper DJ,s in Sheffield play a varied selection of music and dont just specialise in what you are looking for. hatter Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I usually play reggae nights but now also dubstep and drum n bass if thats included under the term 'breaks', and am looking for opportunities to play that. Do you have any more information about the events you want to promote? Yes mate, please send me a mix and a cv. @ Hatter To be honest it sounds like you would be a little outside what I am looking for but if you have a mix you can send me please do, I would love to be proved wrong!! @ Matt S. Point 1.. I know plenty of DJ's but most of them play music outside of the types I have described not to mention I already have residents but I am looking for fresh talent in these areas. Point 2.. I have deliberatley not given any details out on the events I am planning for a reason. @ Eric the man Most "proper" club Dj's I know entirely specialise in a particular genre or two. Apart from the sheer cost of ensuring you have enough tracks across multiple genres then how on earth are you suppossed to learn them all so you can mix flawlessly?? Thanks to the rest of you for sending me mixes, I am starting to go through them this week and I'll be in contact. If there is anyone else out there with something for me then please send it across.
