The food then was generally cheap and cheerful in nature and the tea time special was 2 meals for a fiver. Racing snakes refers to the product in one of the vending machines in the gents which seemed somewhat incongruous in a traditional local boozer. I leave the rest to your imaginations... tinas tea time specials were great! a favourite with students, locals....and the staff! there was also the lunchtime special of soup and a sandwich which was superb value. as for the racing snakes....it was always amusing seeing those that had never been to the pub before coming out of the loos. their faces were a picture! x Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I heard rumours but have no idea what the truth of the situation was! The truth was Enterprise Inns was charging over 40k a year in rent and high prices for beer/lager. Hope they help the new landlady more. Was in last night was as good a pint as ever and had karaoke on.
