Late night eating

Does anyone know anywhere near the city centre (not takeaways) open for food after 11pm, somewhere where we can get a proper meal? Thanks

Depends on your definition of proper meal.

I think Zeugma (Turkish on London road, walkable or short cab ride from centre) closes at 11:30 but you would need to check the time for last orders.

A few curry houses stay open until the early morning on a weekend. A few on West St, Shapla at the bottom of the Moor and SB's near the train station to name a few. Personally I only really go for the odd visit to Shapla these days for an early morning curry (Went last night as it happens, food was good, service was a bit hit and miss but they were v busy).

Apart from that I can't think of any other places that aren't your normal take aways.

 

I would have thought more restaurants could do some late night trade if they gave the idea enough time to sink in with the punters, but afaik past 12 it's going to be a curry house or takeaway.
