Snook
By the look of it they invested it in shopping carts and old car wheels... Not to mention all the lovely crisp packets.
hazel
I remeber the pond in the 40's, As a child my garden backed on to the pond. We used to climb the railings and watch the fishermen. the grass beyond was full of moonpennies (where they later built Errington.) I can still see it in my minds eye when I want peace. Tommy Greensmith, who was old when I was a child was my mom's neighbbour. He was a dedicated fisherman, in the seams of his pockets were maggots and he used to put them in his mouth to clean them. I'm talking when I was 4/5. he kept an enormous fish in his bath and once had a duck there to. I can still picture him now in his old jacket, me sitting next to him on his doorstep. hazel
