Sheffield free newspaper

I get the Gazette on a weekly basis and this goes straight into the recycle bin.

 

Does anyone actually read their free newspaper?

 

What is your free newspaper called and what area it that delivered to?

 

Do you have a free paper delivered?

I have a quick skim through the free papers.

Not a major look, but to seeif owts interesting.

 

EG: I look through the Leader paper to find houses for sales that are very similar to mine, and see how much they've gone up in value!

I used to get the Gazette delivered each week but it does not come any more!

Can't say I've ever read it, I just read the Sheffield Telegraph once a week. The junk mail is probably the main reason I never scan it, it's just easy to throw it all in the blue bin rather than seperate the two. And the fact that there is so much junk mail with it has caused me to associate the two thus further lessening my desire to read it.

Never seen it at the Classic Rock Bar.

 

We get the Mercury newspaper, free at the end of the bar - full of advertising and local music info.

We dont get free newspapers where I live.

We don't get a free paper, but my mum does.

 

They sometimes print the same piece of news more than once in the same edition, or sometimes they repeat last week's news if nothing new has happened. The front page exclusive is normally about a lollypop lady retireing from the school, or a couple reaching their 1000th wedding aniversery.

 

There is one page of "news" within this paper, and the rest is adverts.

 

Occasionally, for no apparant reason, the print a photograph upside down.

the distributors used to ring and check it had been delivered...

 

it had been delivered alright....in a pile of five hundred to a hedge!

I delivered gazette for a few weeks in my youth... first time I did the entire round (about 600 papers for a tenner).

 

The next week I sacked a few off....

 

Then after that I started burning them, throwing them in the recycle bin etc

 

They didn't cotton on for a month or so...

 

I know countless others who did the same...
