donkey
The concept is a complete polarised demonisation of the male gender and absolution of women, a demonstration of irrational fear and bigotry that is unlikely to be much better received in a scholarly environment than on this forum. I wouldn't be so sure about that. I'm doing a counselling course, and have been quite taken aback by the amount of agenda driven, partisan literature I have come across. For example, there was the women who wrote in the introduction to her book on sexual abuse that she would refer to the subjects as 'she' rather than 'they' throughout the book. This was, she asserted, because the amount of male victims is negligable. Apart from being untrue, this is an extremely callous negation of the experiences of the many male survivors of incest, and all this from a supposed expert.
