medicgirl Posted January 22, 2009 Share Posted January 22, 2009 The Ball pub quiz is pretty good, it's on a Thu, good variety of questions and it's always busy so it's a good atmosphere. The Grindstone is good, too, but much quieter if you prefer that. I think it's on a Weds (not been for a while) so hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong! Tyranna Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 I'm doing an esoteric night of DJing, Karaoke, cabaret and general mayhem ('Box of Delights') at the South Seas on Saturday 7 February; maybe I can do a little quiz as well if the demand is there, as I am doing a 'carrots' theme and people attending can dress up as a carrot, or sing on the karaoke, to win a prize! Starts 9pm finish 1am. I will be running the night on the 1st Saturday each month, with a different theme each time, so maybe a quiz will be worth planning properly as a highlight for April!
