I think that this is two songs to the tune of another I do like country Elvis, and the way that his songs evolve. It isn't new, but some efforts are more successful than others. Shoe-horning Watching the Detectives into the sound of a jazz collective tuning up is akin to taking meths and a match to it, but then I'm of The Commitments view of jazz.
