Here's Eric with another Hammond organ "grinder",  and a local lad to boot.

Btw another Sheffield lad at the other side of the stage i.e.Chris Stainton on piano.

Are you sure it was the Esquire ? As I saw the Yardbirds at the Mojo.

Yes at the Esquire with the Yardbirds!!

The Yardbirds were a prolific touring band in their early days.It is more than cnceivable that they played both gigs.I think they also played the City Hall or Gaumont or both after they had some hit records ,but that would be with Beck or Page or both. Eric left after For Your Love,he didn't like their "new direction"

I believe the whole movie is availlable on You Tube. I watched it on an app from a Canadian TV broadcaster CTV. There are some great performances from the various actors playing the singers.

I wonder what the late Etta James thought of Beyonce playing her in Cadillac Records.

She would have loved this scene with Leonard Chess and Muddy Waters open mouthed at the performance.

Not quite Etta James but a great cover nevertheless!

Here compare for yourselves.

Yes the real Etta was something special. Here is a white gal having a good go at "blind" along with hubby and the great Warren Haynes. The President and entourage liked it.
