He once quoted "I just want to hear something new...." and lived by it. He certainly wasn't particularly enamoured of Bolan's factory-production sound and he wasn't wrong. It did get to a stage when all T-Rex's output began to sound the same. For me Bolan peaked with 'Teenage Dream'. I never bought any of the others after that. Not in 'real time' anyway.
