Lady Star
My Nan always smoked Craven 'A' - you don't see them about any more? When I first started smoking, in the mid 90's, I used to smoke Silk Cut Red - they were not only shorter than other cigs, but narrower too! Again, only had then for about a year or so, suddenly everywhere seemed to stop selling them! Were they a old cig? Anyone recall them?
Puffin4
I haven't seen any mention of Joy Stick, which was an extra long fag in the 1950's, they must have been about 4" long. Also, have we mentioned Richmond and Richmond Gem, Phillip Morris, Chesterfield, Markovicz Black and White, Lucky Strike, Gauloise, Sterling. I used to collect cigarette packets in the 50's as a schoolboy and I was a smoker between the ages of 15 and 32. I gave up when returning to the UK in 1972 and after enjoying duty free status, to find that 20 Embassy were 35p.

hillsbro
The sweet cigarettes I remember were not made of chocolate; they were sticks of semi-soft candy with a short red bit at the end that made it look as if they were alight. They were apparently banned decades ago - all you can now get is "candy sticks" - see http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/candy-sticks-p-385.html
