Ousetunes
RIP Albert. I have a sneaky feeling that muddy boots will be welcome in heaven. My sincerest condolences. PS. May I suggest a 'sticky' to this thread and indeed any other relating to a long-standing member of Sheffield Forum who passes on to pastures new (ie, dies)? taxman
A few of us from the walking group attended the service for Albert today. It was great to hear another tale from his days as a firebrand Socialist battling for the right for apprentices to get a day off to go to college. It was also good to listen to details of his work with various charities. Tears and laughs in equal measure.

SugarPuff
I knew Albert as 'Teamaker' on the CB radio in Totley around 25 years ago. He was a smashing bloke and I was really sad to read this thread. Condolances to his family x
chippymel
Many thanks to all who came to Albert's funeral, and to those who have had something to say about Albert in the forum. Elaine was really surprised to see you all at the funeral and really appreciated you coming. We will all miss Albert very much i know, but i'm sure we will all remember Albert from time to time on walks we did with him reminiscing on things he had to say. Many thanks Melvin, friend and Neighbor.

mossdog
A very fair minded Sheffielder! whilst none of us agree on all issues, there was always a thread of honest integrity interwoven in Alberts posts. Respect!
