mike h cars
Anyone would have thought the Wendies had just got promoted..... Face facts It's taken 95 years for Sheffield Wednesday to do the double over Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday aren't what you'd call a stable football team - large debts and a crumbling old ground. Sheffield Wednesday were last in the premiership in 2000 and are still paying the debts off, Sheffield United were in a couple of seasons ago and are still making a profit. Enjoy the glory - it'll take you another 95 years before you do it again.....the only bonus of you winning this one is that you might move on from "the boxing day massacre 1979", it'll be a pleasant change No matter what cup finals, history book wins, measurements of success you choose to pull out.....The Owls are not the most successful team in Sheffield..... Fact!!! 1 season in the Premiership and 84 years since winning anything of note (4th Division Champions doesn't count) is hardly the stuff that big clubs aspire to. Well done to Brian and the boys today, 2nd goal was a peach UTO

dynamick
It's all just a bit of banter - you'd be doing the same to the blades fans if we'd won Don't take it to heart - just accept the facts Oh and by the way - the most successful team in Sheffield - isn't the Blades either - it's Sheffield Steelers - now that is a strange sight....rival footie fans sat in the arena shouting on the same team, the only fighting that happens there is on the ice

mike h cars
who's only had one season in the premiership :confused: Sorry my mistake, I stand corrected and appologise, 2 seasons (not consecutive, relegated straight away each time) that does make United a big club then
