It was brilliant! We were sad when it finished, it wasn't long enough. I wonder if anyone has all the footage that wasn't used in the film, it would be great to see.

It should really be played at somewhere like Western Park museum regularly for all Sheffielders to watch.

I have looked on bbc iplayer and it says "not available" sorry :(

Are you sure it wasn't called - "All In A Day - The City"

"This fascinating documentary could perhaps be best described as a visual essay, a documentary without commentary looking at events in Sheffield on 5th September 1973. Steelworkers retire, babies are born, there are fashion shows and council meetings, crashed lorries and PCs on the beat. A vivid snapshot of Seventies Britain.

Filmed in Sheffield on just one day – the 5th September 1973 – it featured a birth, a marriage, a retirement, a burial, two operations, a council meeting, a newspaper editorial meeting, steel workings, abattoir workings, market stalls, a fashion show in Walsh’s cafe, policemen on the beat, neighbours from hell, the peace gardens before the egg box, smog, a lorry crash in Walkley, the hole in the road, choirboys, a mini with it’s wheels stolen, lots of really old looking people, drab streets, clean and tidy streets … and plenty of Radio Sheffield."
