berinda
Does anyone remember going to this school, especially Miss Scott's Junior 4 class in 1949/50. Miss Copley was the headmistress. I recall most of the names in this class.
PhilMurray
To further jog memories, in Brian Woodriff's second book of Shiregreen 'Shire Green Wincobank and Ecclesfield Memories' there is a photo of some of these pupils (in about 1945) at this school on pages 54/55. Names mentioned here are Joanna Clark, Janet Jowle, Margaret Slater and Robert Utley - amongst others.
Janner
I went to Hatfield House Lane from 1941-43 when I took the 11+. It was real handy for me, I lived in 108 opposite. I can't remember the Head Mistress' name, but my Gran who lived in 116 told me that whenever the Head Mistress saw her she always asked how I was getting along, even after I joined the RN in 1949. berinda
There was a family called Ellison also lived somewhere opposite the school, they had a son Tony (in Miss Scott's class) and daughter Susan.
berinda
We used to go to Corporation Street Baths in year 4. If you look where the swimming baths were there is still a white tiled wall to be seen

karling
Final year at HHLjuniors was 1942-43. Tried to find form list for that year from central archives but apparently wartime security forbade the keeping of lists.....and memory only gets hazier by the year:(
