Defintely worth getting a website in my opinion - Senta can help you with this and pay for it, and also give you advice on how to ensure that customers actually find it when they are looking for someone like you. I think the internet is now often the fiurst place people look when they look for services.

Hi,

I used an online company called signsandshirts.co.uk when I had my van done. It cost me £99 to have vehicle signage created for a Ford Escort Van, back doors and both sides. They send you the graphics on a sticky back vinyl which you carefully peel off and stick on the vehicle. This may be the most cost effective way of doing it just be careful when you are sticking them on.

With regards to the marketing - Do you have a website? If you don't you may need to consider a one page presence to get your business online.

Get yourself in the local newspapers / local gazettes - you could offer to paint a local youth club or charity premises for free to gain free publicity. This one press release and free job could end up getting you free advertising worth a lot more than the time you spend painting a room for free.

Also, why not start up a referral scheme for you customers. Every customer you get, give them a few business cards and offer them a small commission for each customer they refer on to you. This will give your customers an extra incentive to recommend you to other people. :) Good Luck. If you need any more help, we have free marketing guides on our website.
