I thought that Mr Massey, Head of Abbeydale Grammar for Boys, was nicknamed "Cas" after Cassius in the Shakespeare play, Julius Caesar. Cassius had a "lean & hungry look" which Mr Massey also had. I thought Mr Scorer was nicknamed "Buzz" because of his tendency to pronounce the letter S as Z. Thizz gave his zzpeech a definite buzz-like zzound.
