Ousetunes
I'm jealous I'm not joining you all. I've done the half-marathon twice. In 1987 (aged eighteen) I managed a time of approximately 1 hour 35, but I was doing a lot of running in those days (and didn't drink as much). I then decided to do it again, ten years later and managed a time of 1 hour 55. The route of 1987, out to Ecclesfield was much better than the Cricket Inn Road route out to Carterknowle and back. Which lead me to a question: What exactly IS the route this year? Good luck to all runners:thumbsup:
Fudbeer
Basically the route is from don valley stadium to hunters bar and back. A bit boring I would like some more hills to make it interesting
Mike79
Hi all, Im number 75 - must have entered real early on. It obviously seemed like a good idea then! Im hoping to do it in under 1:40:00! - So fingers crossed! I will have to get up dead early tomorrow as I am so crap at eating in the morning - it will take me forever to force some food down! I never thought I would be this nervous, I hope i sleep well tonight.
pussycat
I'm really gutted that I can't run! I've been out for three weeks with tendonitis. Managed to do 40 minutes last night before it started to hurt, so I've no chance of doing the race. Arrrrrggggghhh! However, I shall be cheering you all along from Devonshire Green. Good luck everyone!
RichK
I'll be there. Ran this last year and it was the best race of the year for me. I'm a bit worried there will be less atmosphere this year as it is off an hour earlier. Last year, Ecclesall Road was superb! Good luck to everyone running!
