The First staff at the end of the phone number given in the T&C know nothing about it!

First contact at local offices know nothing, either.

Marketing, however, did get back and confirmed that it is a genuine promotion.

Still waiting to hear what has happened with regard to Sheffield.

if you want to travel for free on the bus these will guarantee you free travel, A/join the police force, they are allowed to travel by bus free of charge even when off duty,

B/ join the postal service, postmen & women travel for free on the buses etc( time restrictions apply),

C/obtain a senior citizens travel pass ( time and age restictions apply), D/obtain a mobility travel pass, these also allow you to take your carer on the bus for free too ( no time restrictions,or age limits seem to apply)

and finally there is option E/ get elected onto your local council, local councillors also travel for free on our's ( the tax payers) public transport ( no time limits apply).

alternatively buy a week saver( on first buses anyway) and see how long you can blag it once it's expired, saw a first driver the other day( friday 07/02/09) take one off a bloke that had been using his since november 2008, not bad for a week saver, 3 mths travel,

wonder how many others do like wise, and just how much revenue is lost on buse's and trains to fare dodgers, is it any wonder the operators keep putting up the fare's that the rest of us have to pay

The new tickets are hard to blag cause the date is huge and more drivers seem to wanna take a close look now. Although I've spoken to a few drivers(not when on bus) and they tell me that 9 times out of 10 most drivers don't bother actually looking most of the time and just pretend to then nod you on.
