PopT
Years ago some tailor's and Dressmaking shops used to advertise 'Invisible Mending'. You never see it these days. Is it a lost art or do people still do it, if so who and where? PopT

Tradescanthia
I remember 'invisible mending'. If you damaged an expensive garment you could have it repaired cheaper than replacing it. I think it just fell victim to our 'throw away society'.

PopT Yes my Auntie worked in a fur shop in town opposite Walshes, she worked downstairs, when a customer came in with a repair the owner would stamp his foot on the floor and my Auntie would come rushing upstairs.
