Tradescanthia
If your are likely to live to be late 80s, is it not fair you work up until your 70-75. In my family I have seen a person retire at 60 and die at 66, and another retire at 60 also, but they are still going strong at 86. I am nearly 60 years old and have been given a 60/40 chance of living 5 years or over. Do I need any more worries?? I think not. MUPPET!!!! Swan_Vesta
I resurrect this thread to report this shocking incident: "It will take more than 85 years for a benefit cheat to pay back £76,000 she swindled. Emma Brown, 35, of Barkers Lane, Bedford, who is clearing the overpayment at £74 a month, was spared jail on Friday for the sake of her young family." This woman now has a criminal record for doing the same as MPs, yet they only have to pay it back, with no court appearance. Justice? Pah!

chem1st
70k, repayable at £14 per week...i know where i'm going for my next loan. That's a very competative rate! The amount the job centre pays you for expenses is minute in comparison to town hall rates, what with the premium expenses, you can shop at Cole Brothers and not need to get such a small loan in the first place

The link in SwanVesta's post above is to the Bedfordshire News. Nothing to do with the DM. I have no reason to believe it isn't true.
