St Patrick's day!

Recommended Posts

I must say I used to enjoy going out on St Patricks night to celebrate all things irish, listen to live music etc but in recent years seeing such crass over commercialisation by the likes of big companies like Guiness, and how more and more young loutish drunken morons go about in packs irresponsibly drinking from around midday until midnight and being a positive danger to others and themselves, fighting in pubs to get served, spilt beer, vomit, urine you name it - I feel I will be giving it a miss this year thank you.
But if The Owls or the Blades are playing,.............thats where you will find them beating their chests and getting bladdered!..................don't blame St. Pat.

If I was to pay to go to Embrace, and they didn't have any real leprechauns (with them being a mythical creature and all), would I be entitled to my money back?

Some Bands are playing on Fargate tonight from 8.30ish....

The St Patrick's Day Festival will be celebrated this year on Fargate, Sheffield City Centre. The annual appearance of the "big white tent" is very popular and among Sheffields Irish community celebrating St Patrick's Day in Sheffield.

The 2008 festival was a huge success with thousands visiting the marquee, 2009 will be even better.

The St. Patricks Festival 2009 will run from Saturday 14th – Tuesday 17th March 2009. There will be so much on offer in and around the marquee. Live Music Performances, Irish dancing, rish and continental Food and Craft Market, Live Rugby on the Marquee Big Screen, Food Counter, bbq, Guinness Bar.... culminating on Tuesday 17th with Performances from Celtic Fling and The Problem with Marie,
