Millhouses pub - what's it like?

As with numerous other pubs it will be shut within a few years, it just doesn't get enough punters through the door.

 

I wonder whether some of the pubcos are trying to run down some pubs so that when they flog them for housing there will be less of an outcry. A bit like when they want to close a rail station they start cutting the services down and hey presto no customers any more.

 

I went in this place about 4-5 years ago and it was just like people are describing - empty, dirty, horrible beer, uninterested staff. Just like the poster earlier in the thread I quickly decided I'd just have a half and left after 5 minutes. I've never been back.

 

It's a nice building, lots of passing trade and close to some quite affluent areas. It should be a very nice place, but it isn't.
