Jacko 1
My old boss used to be a taxi driver and he used to tell this story, he was sent to the Fiesta nightclub on Arundel Gate for a fare, out came the manager of the Fiesta and Gene Pitney who was appearing there, the manager asked Gene if he was hungry and wanted to eat, so they went to Greasy Vera's my boss said it didn't take Gene long to find out how to attack one of there bacon sandwiches. Sadly neither my old boss or Gene Pitney are with us anymore to confirm or deny this statement, perhaps the manager could help ?

gularscute
It should be in Weston Park Museum with a waxwork Vera inside, holding a plastic cheeseburger.
verona
It should be in Weston Park Museum with a waxwork Vera inside, holding a plastic cheeseburger. I agree. It's a part of Sheffields history. I'd love to know if anyones got some old pictures of the place. I only went a couple of times after I passed my driving test. It has stuck in my mind though.
