carosio
I think it was Michael Holliday who sang The Runaway Train and had a hit in the U.K. with it. Michael Holliday had a fine baritone voice, does anyone remember him singing on the TV advert for "Cadbury's Milk Tray"? Can't remember who did the one for "Toblerone" bars, triangular bees, etc. He sung also, I think, the ad for "White Heather" Chocs.
carosio
Wonder what Simon Cowell would think of this? See Arthur Askey singing the Busy Bee song!

echo beach
I can remember my Mum singing all of the following songs when I was a nipper. "When Irish eyes are smiling", "Galway Bay", "I'll take you home again Kathleen" and "If you were the only girl in the world." Three are about Ireland and although not born across the water, Mum did have Irish ancestry. The songs, I believe, were written between 1875 and the 1940's but all were popular in films issued in the mid 40's when I was born.

inessex
I think Wink Martindale sang deck of cards. There seem to be a lot of us reaching 60 in the next year or so.
