Love2print
I'm trying to get quotes for wedding dresses at the moment, I have had quotes from £175.00 to over £500.00. The £175.00 is looking the best at the moment! But I would still like to get more qoutes, however, I get the feeling that the dressmakers that are quoting £500+ are doing so because the word wedding is being used. I say this because I don't want a standard wedding dress, IE, White/Ivory, big train, lots of beads/diamante etc etc. But I appreciate that I want a bespoke dress so I know I will have to pay extra for that. I am looking for a 50's style swing dress. Can any one recommend a dressmaker, not necessarily someone who specialises in wedding dresses, but who would be able make the dress for less than £500.00? Johnnie01
Hi, Here is my suggestion for you. First, set yourself a budget of what you want to spend for your dress. What you want to spend will dictate where you will shop. If you are on a small budget you may want to shop at one of the large bridal discount stores. If money is not as much an issue there are many small bridal boutiques that offer a wide variety of lovely dresses. Secondly, make sure you have yourself properly fitted by a person who knows what they are doing so when you start your shopping you will know what size you need and what dress would have the proper fit for you. Make sure that you check out several styles and fits so you can narrow your search to make iot easier to decide.
steviebex
The Bridal House on Ecclesall Road made my wedding dress. The service was fantastic, I highly recommend them, Claire did mine!
CherishMedia
A bridal shop in Kiveton Park called "Christine Wales" is excellent. I had my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses made and fitted from there. They are fantastic - they can't do enough for you. Plus, i think the lady who owns it used to design dresses for famous designers so she is very experienced! I would definitely reccommend them! Their number is 0870 4461696
