Cyclone
I'd just like to say, the size, shape and age of the torso is immaterial. If it's being walked down my street, I want to see it in a top of some sort! Why? How does it offend? ---------- Post added 29-07-2018 at 10:42 ---------- Spoken like a true Naturist. I'm not, but I do think we'd be better off if we could ditch some of our Victorian prudery that we're still carrying around as a nation.

I think we lost the Victorian Prudery in the Sixtes free love and all that Hippie stuff but then it reigned in in the nineties due to the aids threat. Ms Macbeth
Why? I don't think we are prudish nowadays compared to pre and even into 1960s. People can generally wear what they want, and stripping off is not frowned upon in appropriate places. I just don't happen to think public transport is one of those places.
Cyclone
I wasn't arguing that it was. Some people though are saying that "anywhere in public" is not appropriate, and I can't really see why.

Cyclone
All the answers as to why seem to be variants of "just because". There is no logic or reason behind them.
poppet2
I refuse to engage in a conversation with my neighbour over the garden fence, if he is topless. After all we aren't at the beach. It's as bad as sitting at a table topless.

The Joker
I refuse to engage in a conversation with my neighbour over the garden fence, if he is topless. Does your neighbour know you won’t converse with him over the fence if he’s improperly attired, or does he think you’re a bit stuck-up ? (For the record, I don’t think you’re stuck-up; I think you’re lovely)
