From your post it sounds like you weren't even there, so quite why you've got your knickers in a twist about this pub is baffling. You wouldn't perhaps be a landlord or employee of a nearby hostelry trying to drum up business by making unfounded accusations about your rivals, perchance? I must say that thought crossed my mind too basil. I eat in the rock when we go to wentworth or even go there for something to eat and stop for the quiz on a tuesday night and I have never had any complaints about the food. You are never waiting too long to get it and we have never had any problems with it when it has arrived. I have never noticed any other customers complaining or returning food.
