Kelvin Flats

Recommended Posts

Can anyone answer this question?. I have just been talking to my next door neighbour we were talking about Walkley. I said in the 1960s/70s I used to meet my Uncle who lived on Oxford Street and he used to take me in the White Rails pub on a Tuesday night, but sometimes we had a change and went in the pub under Kelvin Flats. we can both remember the pub, but not the name of it. Confident someone will be able to answer this question

The Kelvin Flats thread in existence on this section will answer all your questions as regards the Kelvin Flats.

The White Rails was on the junction of Burlington Street and Martin Street, (My Nanna's block of flats, "Burlington" block was opposite the White Rails)

The two pubs on the Kelvin Flats were the Halfpenny (I STR) And was it The Gatefield?
