Guest makapaka
Give the Red Deer a try. They're really trying to make a go of it down there as a traditional pub amongst the crappy 2 for 1 bars. The beers good, staff are friendly and I think the manager of the place is a former chef who should be able to sort some decent food out.

haddockman
I never replied about where we went! We ended up in the Harlequin near Kelham Island, they did us a huge buffet for a reasonable price and as there were only 10 of us, we could have it in the bar at a table Definately recommend them for buffets!
